If you need surgery, an attending spine surgeon will perform your procedure. We don’t use trainees (such as medical students) or physician extenders (such as physician assistants) to operate on our patients. In addition, we offer concierge service to all our patients including 24/7 access to our surgeons via phone and email.

  • khawar

    Dr. Khawar Siddique

    Khawar Siddique, MD, MBA is a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon who specializes in spine surgery. Special interests include advanced minimally invasive approaches (such as percutaneous decompressions and fusions), spinal tumors, cervical spine deformity, and lumbar deformity. He has experience in many new spinal procedures, including artificial disk replacements, minimally invasive microscopic decompressions and fusions, and image-guided spine surgery.

    Dr Siddique is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a member of many national spine surgery organizations. He has written many articles and book chapters for peer-reviewed publications, including Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgical Focus, Oncogene, and International Journal of Oncology. He has given many podium presentations on advanced spine surgical techniques and has taught numerous surgical courses to other neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons.

    Dr. Siddique graduated with a B.S. in Physiology with honors (cum laude and with Highest Distinction) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned his medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honors (ranked in the top 10% of his medical school class) from the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine. Thereafter, he completed a 6-year residency in Neurosurgery from the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Peoria and then completed a 1-year fellowship in Spine Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Siddique also completed a MBA degree from USC while working full-time at Beverly Hills Spine Surgery.

    Dr. Alexandre Rasouli

    Alexandre Rasouli, MD is a nationally recognized surgeon specializing in the surgical and nonsurgical management of cervical, thoracic and lumbar disorders of the spine including degenerative disorders, spinal trauma, adult and pediatric deformity, spinal oncology, and minimally invasive surgery.

    Dr. Rasouli gained prominence in the field of spinal disorders after his discovery in 2007 of a novel method of regenerating neurons damaged by spinal cord injury using peripheral nerve transplantation. He was also the first to describe the genetic response of spinal cord tissue to traumatic injury. His research focuses on developing a cure for paralysis. He conducted pioneering work at the Beckman Laser Institute, Reeve-Irvine Center for Spinal Cord Injury, the Miami Project, and the Cedars-Sinai Tissue Engineering Laboratory.

    He has authored over 50 manuscripts, abstracts, book chapters, and presentations in the neurosurgical and orthopedic literature. He has led a number of clinical trials for advanced surgical techniques, including motion-preserving and minimally invasive surgery. He also serves as a reviewer for the prestigious Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

    Dr. Rasouli graduated with honors in Molecular Immunology from Stanford University. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, where he explored a method of reshaping biological tissue using lasers. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the same institution and served as Chief Resident his final year.

    Dr. Rasouli completed two coveted fellowships in spinal surgery. The first was in adult degenerative and traumatic disorders at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. The second was in spinal deformity surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital. He was trained by three world-renowned spine surgeons: Drs. Frank Eismont, Harry Shufflebarger and Barth Green. He received extensive training in both neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery techniques. His practice attracts patients from around the country and the world.

    Dr. Brian Perri

    Brian Perri, DO is an orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in reconstructive surgery for spinal tumors, spinal deformities, and minimally invasive/motion preservation surgery for degenerative spinal diseases.

    Dr. Perri received a Bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College,Masters in Neuroscience at the University of Hartford/University of Pennsylvania and medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Perri’s completed his orthopedic residency at Pinnacle Health Systems in Hershey, Pennsylvania followed by a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

    Dr. Perri is an expert and mentor in artificial disc replacement surgery for the lumbar and cervical spine and has developed a classification system for surgical reconstruction of cervical kyphotic deformities. In addition, Dr. Perri has advanced thoracoscopic sympathectomy surgery to a more minimally invasive procedure by using two pinhole incisions under each arm. He has presented research findings at the Cedars-Sinai Symposium on Current Concepts in Spinal Disorders, Cervical Spine Research Society, North American Spine Society, Richard Lende Winter Neurosurgery Conference, and theAANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves. He also has been a guest reviewer for The Spine Journal (he official journal of the North American Spine Society), and has co-authored spine surgery textbook chapters on the complications and treatments of anterior cervical spine surgery, surgical treatment of acute cervical fractures, techniques for cervical-thoracic pedicle subtraction osteotomy for correction of cervical kyphosis, and thoracoscopic sympathectomy for treatment of hyperhidrosis.

    Presently, Dr. Perri is a member of the American Ostoepathic Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.

    Dr. Edward Nomoto

    Edward K. Nomoto, MD is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in spine surgery.  Special interests include minimally invasive techniques, and their application in complex reconstructive techniques for the cervical spine, adult and pediatric spinal deformity and degenerative scoliosis.  Dr. Nomoto believes in a patient-centered approach with patient education and understanding as key components to the medical decision-making process.

    Dr. Nomoto is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of many national spine organizations including the Scoliosis Research Society. 

    He is actively involved in clinical research investigating minimally invasive techniques for the spine and improving patient outcomes.  Dr. Nomoto also continues to pursue his passion for education training residents and fellows as well as other surgeons.

    Dr. Nomoto graduated with a B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology with honors from the University of California, Berkeley.  He earned his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine.  He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and spine fellowship at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders.
